Design Dazzle at The Pinners Conference

I promised a couple posts ago that I would share more pics from the 2014 Pinners Conference that was held in Salt Lake City. Today I want to feature a really fun blogger that I've followed for several years who has lots of great DIY ideas for crafts, decorating and children's rooms.  Toni from Design Dazzle is one of those spunky gals that you really enjoy learning from. I attended her class called "Making Christmas Magical" and believe me it was magical! She is a designer for Michaels Dream Team and she showcased the Christmas tree she designed for this years Dream Team Challenge. Her tree was called Santa's Cabin in the Woods which had a red and green plaid theme with lots of faux snow and a wintry woodsy feel. She has instructions and pics to show you how to make all the fun budget-friendly ideas from her tree. You can click on any of the highlighted words in this post to learn more about Toni's Design Dazzle Blog or Michaels Dream Team as well as info and classes from the 2014 Pinners Conference. Mosey on over to her blog, get a cup of tea and enjoy all of the wonderful creativity!

2014 Pinners Conference

Oh my did we have a fabulous weekend!! My daughter and I attended the 2014 Pinners Conference in Salt Lake City November 7th and 8th. They had a vendor market that included Sizzix, Riley Blake Designs Fabrics, Stampin Up, Emily Taylor Design, The Quilted Fish Patterns, Cara from Maskcara, Vintage Revivals and many others.  My daughter Emily attended several classes about make-up and hairstyle tips and I enjoyed the classes about decorating and Christmas Traditions.  One of my favorites was the Christmas class presented by Toni from Design Dazzle. She gave oodles of ideas for creating a fun atmosphere for the Holidays (More about Toni's class in my next post)! For now I leave you with a few fun pictures from the Conference.

Recently attended a 4-day quilt retreat with 7 wonderful gals and had such a fun and restful time! Hadn't been to one for a few years so it was nice to be with other crazy creative peeps who love to be themselves and share ideas and stories. Finished 1 purse, 6 Topsy Twirly Skirts and mended a pair of jeans. You know, a gal really should attend a retreat every 3 months or so!  Here are a few of my finished items:

Hope you have a great Monday!!

Topsy Twirly Skirts

So.....After taking a bit of a hiatus, I am back in full swing and the sewing machines are smokin!! I've had so much fun making these cute little Topsy Twirly Skirts! The pattern is still being written and the sizes perfected! Hoping to have all that finished soon!
It all started with this pink/black skirt for my special little 2-year-old neighbor Piper!
