Done for the Season

Well, soccer season is over for another Spring. Kristen and her team played hard, steady and even a little scrappy over the weekend at the State Cup soccer tourny. One of the soccer dads "lurks" down by the net and around the field with his trusty camera and has allowed us to use his photos of the girls. Thought I'd show you some great snaps of my Kristen!

That's right Krissy, you WORK that pony tail!!
Don't look now Kris, but there are people following you!

You Go Girl!!!

The Creative Connection Event

The Pom Poms and Polkadots studio has been buzzing! Fabric flying, sewing machines smoking and patterns being written!  The excitement is building for The Creative Connection Event that's coming up in Minneapolis in Sept.  So many talented and fun people will be there...sure to glean tons of inspiration from them!  I've decided to feature different peeps each week who will be teaching, planning the event or selling their wares at the market.  One that is familiar to me (and people around the world) is Amy Butler.  She has been the trend-setting designer of fabrics for quilting and home dec, patterns, papers, home wares, etc. for several years now.  Amy will be one of the keynote speakers at the event.  Visit her beautiful website to view all her lovely designs!
For more info on The Creative Connection, click on their button on my sidebar.

I love to visit (stalk) other blogs for inspiration and ideas and Serendipity Studio is one of my favorites! Kay Whitt is a very talented designer and her stuff is soooo uber cute!! She is the perfect model for her clothing designs (that tiny little thing)! Love the way she combines fabrics and couture details. She also just came out with a new book!
Visit her website at:
It will put some happy in your day!!

My sister Missy was visiting from Nebraska last week and picked out coffee fabrics for her new purse. Isn't she cute?!! We had a nice time and she cooked the most wonderful roast beef dinner for all of us one night! I'm sure we all gained at least 10 lbs. each!!

Hope you had a safe trip home Missy! Love You!!!

The Farm Chicks Show

This weekend is The Farm Chicks Show out in Spokane, WA.  Soooo wish I was there!  What started out as 2 friends having a little antique show in a friends barn has turned into a yearly destination for folks from all over the country.  They now hold it in a grand new building at the Spokane Fairgrounds and people wait in a HUGE line outside for the start of the show.    You can see pics on their blog:

Made a new purse for my friend Beverly for her birthday...put together a couple different pattern ideas and came up with this.  She wanted something very Springy (which happens to be the season we are in here in Montana) and she loves girly girl stuff!  Working on 3 other bags today, typing a pattern and wishing I could actually take a nap!  Better walk the dog down the stree to the mailbox so we both get some excercise and wake up!  Happy Birthday Bevie!!

# 1 Son

Meet our #1 son, Landon! He is the oldest of the three, has a great sense of humor, a very level head, is quite the movie buff and has super financial sense! He really doesn't want me to post his picture since he hates having it taken but his senior pics were so good from last year that I just couldn't help myself!
