Cute Tidyness

Depending on where we live, some of us are getting a little ansy for Spring. We here in Montana have had a bit of an old fashioned winter, although it has been a little warmer lately, around 40's and up to almost 50! But...we have a cold front coming in over the weekend with very cold temps and snow again.

I've been perusing some new magazines and cute blogs and found some fresh, new, Springy colors and ideas. So sorry, I can't remember where I found these pics but they are VERY CUTE and inspirational!
I'm thinkin hubby may have a weekend project building a decorative how everything is displayed so tidy!

What an easy way to dress up books or storage cannisters! Throw an adorable printed fabric on them and Voile'! Just cover books with fabric or paper like we did in high school.

In Town Bag Pattern Correction

Just finished making another of my In Town Bags. Always fun to use the next season's fabrics, was feeling Spring!

Taught the In Town Bag class at The Sewing Palace the other night and I realize there is an omission in the pattern on instruction #16. Also, a miscommunication with the printer resulted in the diagram page being omitted from some of the In Town Bag patterns as well.

If you have purchased that pattern and need a copy of the revision and a copy of the diagram page, please email me and I will email or snail-mail them to you. I apologize for the inconvenience and hope this will be helpful.
You can click on my sidebar to get help in receiving the copies of the corrections.  Again, so sorry!

Doodlebug! and Riley Blake Fabrics

Oh my gracious look what I found yesterday! While visiting Riley Blake's blog (a fairly new fabric company) I saw these adorable pics in their post about Doodlebug Designs! I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING their displays!! What a clean, fresh, colorful array of fun! I have admired their ads for years in magazines like Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion (which I still miss since it was always so inspiring...sniff, sniff)...anyway...Doodlebug designs the cutest scrapbooking supplies! And they have recently branched out to include quilting fabrics! These pics are my inspiration in designing a booth for a quilt show I'm doing soon. The cute little gal 3rd from left is Cynthia, founder and owner. Don't you just want to go to work there? They all look so friendly! Visit Rily Blake's blog to read lots of great news and inspiration

Little Emma English Home

I have found so many beautiful, fun blogs over the past year and one of my new faves is Little Emma English Home. This young woman lives in Italy but loves English, French and Nordic styles. Her photos and writings are fresh and pleasant. Just the inspiration to re-fluff the house after taking down all the Christmas!

Happy New Year!
My Front Porch
Spiffed up the sewing room the other day so I could get crackin in there again.  Been awhile since I've gone in there and just had fun! My in-laws are heading to visit friends and mom-in-law asked if I would make her friend an apron so this is the cute fabric she picked. I'll post pics when finished cuz the pattern is a little unusual.
Fabric for an Apron
She also asked if I could make some pin cushions to take along as well and these are so fun and easy to make on the embroidery machine. The patten is called Parlor Charm by Smith Street Designs.
Pincushions made using the Parlor Charm pattern from Smith Street Designs.

A stack of projects to start off 2011.
Thank you for visiting my blog this past year and for the encouraging comments! This has been very therapeutic and energizing for me and I adore the friends I've made along the way! Hoping to get a little more savvy at picture posting this year. Hope your 2011 will be fabulous!!
Blessings and Joy,
